Question 2002 A6 2.7T MAF sensor, codes, resets

Hi everyone. About a couple of weeks back, my A6 'bucked' while driving to work and while I thought it strange (i.e. worried the heck out of me!) I thought maybe it was a fluke. My check engine light was on two hours later. Got it scanned and came back with a P0106 code which my Audi tech said was the MAF sensor. We replaced it (he was nice enough to order it at his cost and we put it in at his home) and it still hesitates/lurches when I push the gas down and idols very low as well. I've stalled in 1st gear as well.
My tech tells me resetting the readiness codes should remedy this. It's been almost two weeks since it's been replaced and the car is still screwed up and the check engine light's still on.

Any help or confirmation of what my tech told me would be appreciated. I completely trust him on all things Audi, but figured I'd ask for additional insight.

Thanks!

WM

Don't you need a radio code to disconnect the battery?
