Tranny cooler

RE: Tranny cooler
Most automatics have a heat exchanger that cools the ATF via the engine coolant. This is done so that if you are sitting in traffic and you still have cooling and through the cooling fan. The heat exchanger also acts as a warmer for those cold climates. Unless you are going to do some serious towing or live in extremely hot climates, I don see the need for an air to oil cooler.

RE: Tranny cooler
any whoo, I upgraded my cooling of tranny, the tranny gets hot when you do redline in 2nd gear @85mph, or 3rd gear, which I havent found the top speed of it.
I take small precosusion of heating up the car, and the tranny, then I can drive okey, becouse tranny cooler is in direct flow of cooling fans, it cooled as I stand in trafic.
In city tranny usually doesnt get higher that 50C, but on highway, it gets extreamly hot.
Sorry for bringing old threat, but I wanted to post upgrades.
