Default Timing the 2.0L

I have a 1991 80 with a 2.0L 8 valve throttle body injection I'm doing a tuneup on. It looks like it's mostly electronically controlled (load and rpm) Hoping someone has some insight:

What is the stock initial timing?
Is the initial timing adjustable?
Has anyone seen an increase in performance by changing the initial igntion timing (I can run higher octane fuel) and what did you change it to?
I'm also thinking of trying colder plugs if I advance the timing. Anyone know the number scheme for plug heat range (higher number - lower range?)

Thanks,
Mike
