Default Need a diaphragm pressure regulator, anyone??

I need a diaphragm fuel pressure regulator for a 1987 4000S quattro. I can't find one and the dealer wants a fortune! I am selling this car when it runs again, so if anyone (prefer Canada, west) has a used one, let me know!

Try the salvage yards, I think that one from VW will work just make sure that the Bosch numbers match. When I had my '84 4000S I got many parts off of the 87-88 VW Fox they fit and worked fine.

Thats the problem, I called about 15 wreckers that specialize in VW/Audi. The VW guys are not sure what matches, and the Audi guys are just as bad. I found 90% of them didn't even know what one was, or where it's located on the car.

According to the Bosch Product Guide the 1987CS Quattro uses Bosch 0 438 161 010 regulator that is also used on the following vehicles
1990 Fox
1987 & 1989 Golf and Jetta
1985 - 1988 Quantum

Thanks Offramp. I have those same numbers, and fed them to a wrecker at the west coast here, and he is positive he has 2 of them. I am hoping after I change it, the problem will be solved. Is there anything anyone knows of, that can contribute to this happening, or does this thing just start leaking fuel out the end tube down to the airbox letting one know it's hooped?
