Default I have a couple questions tonight about my 89 CQ

Hey guys! Well I THINK i fixed the idle for now.. Is there supposed to be a rubber washer/gasket behind the idle adjustment screw on the TB? If so, then i THINK thats where the vac leak is. I was messing with it tonight (along with adjusting the throttle cable a bit) and when i turned it to the right to make it tight, the "air sucking sound" died down a whole lot. I test drove it and it did pretty well.. I cant do anything too acurate until my new rad arrives bec car is leaking fluid too much. So would a new rubber washer help out?

Also, I put in a new drives side seat heater switch. After plugging it in, it still isnt working (the passanger side is fine). I checked the rear of the plug in where the wires go into but no wires are loose or anything. The switch does not light up or anything either. Power not going to the switch maybe?? can anyone help me out on that one?

Has anyone ever put new bulbs in the center console where the little diagram is for the diff lock? I got some bulbs from radio shack, but I am new to soldering. If anyone has done this, pls let me know and give me some pointers if you have any.

Lastly, my side marker lights were missing on the car when I got it (it has Hella euro lights, and is wired for h4 bulbs).. my turn signals are in the bumper along with my fog lights. I am not sure if the person before me cut out the side marker lights (i found one bulb and socket behind one of them), or what. I just want them to come on when my lights are on... I have the bulbs, sockets, and the harness for each of them ( there are 3 wires on each of them).. where do i splice these into? I don't wanna mess up and cause an electrical fire or anything. Any help would be great Thanks!

Have you checked fuses and transmitters?

Transmitters for heated seats are under steering wheel. The only whay you can check this is switching them . Just replace the one from driver's side to the passanger's side. I've got a sticker with transmitters positions, if you like i can make a photo

yeah hehe i figured thats prob what he ment. Thanks for the pict. The stuff under the hood seems ok. I think my power window relay is going bad (when rolling the drivers side up, i hear a click click click sound). My passenger seat heater is fine. I guess its gotta be the relay under the steering wheel/ inst. cluster. Slowly, i am getting everything to work on the car again! All i need is my radiator.

I dunno if the side marker lights i have can be put back in or not. Also, i cant find the light socket for the rear ashtray.. i guess maybe i didnt have one in the first place??? I took the center console out. But i was wondering, if I did have a rear ash tray light, would the wire be connected to the brake light switch for power?? If so, i can prob find one in a car at the junk yard.

Thanks for the help guys. I hope i can find a relay around here. I think i need the J131 or something like that for the seat heaters.

your windows are stuck if you can hear a click remove door card to service the parts " press the window button and assist the window to release it", side markers it depends on which country your in, rear ashtray light will have its own live feed definitely not to the rear breaks

My window isnt stuck or anything.. i just put a new regulator/motor combo in it. The clicking is comming from under the dash. Someone told me the relay could be going out bec it does not go down with "one touch" like it is supposed to.

The rear ash tray light.. i ment the Emergency brake light, lol not the foot pedal brake!! The e brake light has 2 prongs on it, one is well for the light in the dash that tells you it is on, but i was wondering if the other terminal could be for the rear ash tray light that does not seem to exist. The rear ash tray light isnt all that important, i just figured while i have the console out, id fix it if it was there.
