Hi all. New here, but not to Audis. My brother ran one and now I'm running a 1988 5000 Quattro. It's a sedan with a 2.3L.

Anyway. Over the winter I didn't catch it, but my rear diff. was leaking. The drifting snow blew over any leaks I could have spotted. I started having spotty acceleration, meaning it would accelerate fine then lose power and then get it back again. I attribute this to the diff. and I have to drop it out. I had trouble finding a manual for the quattro version and have on for the 2wd 5000s; I have no information on dropping it and I was wondering what I needed to watch out for.

Now on to the electrical! I have an issue where I turn on my headlights all the lights in the car dim. I have no instrument panel light, my climate control lights are all but unreadable. Where am I chasing wires to? I'm a noob when it comes to electrical so what should I check?
