Well I found a good rad and i wanted to replace the fan switch as well. But i don't know what one to get..

there are 3 of them on there.. what one would a 89 audi coupe quattro have? I was thinking the 93-82 C one but not sure?

not really, if it would start earlier before the thermostat would be fully open, the fans would not stop working

it all dipends on the thermostat I see there is two models, 80C and 87C.
for the 80 you get low temp switch, for 87 you get high temperature switch.

 

ok that makes sense to me too.. i would not want the fan to run ALL the time. yeah i am putting a new 87c thermostat in, so I will get the 91-102C one (high temp). Thanks fellas

 

I use an 80°C thermostat and 92°C/85°C fan switch. It really helps during those hot summer days while sitting in traffic. I recommend this set up to any one who has a 10V 5-cyl motor.
