Audi 89 coupe electrical nightmare
Well I had time to get it into the garage tonight so i can take a closer look... something on the left hand side electrical is screwed up.. i have been looking into the bentley. I will update more tomorrow.. but i had a quick question on the heated mirrors.. The 2 loose wires on each side are a black and a yellow wire. According to the bentley manual.. the hook somewhere.. do they hook to the rear of the mechanism or to each other. or what?? Any ideas?

RE: Audi 89 coupe electrical nightmare
they are plus and minus, when go through the mirror's heating element it heats up, and unfreeses mirrors.
mirrors them self have to have connectors, to be connected. if so, cheack ressistence between poles on mirror, if its not infinite or 1 then you can probably connect with no problem. also turn the heating of glass on and check voltage at the connectors, should be: black is ground, yeallow plus. around 6V-14V depends on setup germans did. hope it helps.

Thanks for the info.. the glass itself has no connections on it.. except for plastic.. see i took these off another car. I did order some orig glass off a guy back in the states, but 2 packages i ordered (one was new gear oil) have not arrived, and its been a month now ;( I will look into the wiring more today
