Anyone ever try to sell your old car part by part?
If you did, I was just wondering what your experience was like. I assume you got to the point where you junked what you couldn't sell. But as for the actual selling, how fast did you see parts go? Did you remove everything yourself or did you need your mechanic's help (thereby raising the selling price). I know people sometimes post on a forum like this one telling anyone who reads that he has parts for sale, so you may be wondering what I'm doing posting this when I could be advertising my parts right now. Well, I would just like to know what I'm doing before I say, "open for business." Is it worth trying to sell the parts myself, or should I just sell it to a salvage yard right now. The reason I'm asking is that I predict that whatever salvage yards buys it, they won't give me that much for it (even though they'll probably make hundreds in profit off the parts). The car is a 1984 4000S 2WD 4CYL.
And by the way, if anyone has just junked it (whether it be this Audi or something similar), how much did you get for it. And did you sell it to a general junkyard, or one that specializes in Audi, like Shokan, for instance.
Thank you
