Default 89 CQ rad fan switch question

Hey guys! I had a question. When I put the new radiator in, I also put in a new 109 Deg C radiator fan switch in. I noticed when I was sitting in traffic the other day, the temp went past 110, but no fan came on. Is there any way to check if the fan works when the car gets hot, or why it isn't working? The only time I know it works is when i shut the car off. I know the air flow for these cars was not great.. but it worrys me when there is heavy stau on the autobahn.. and my temp light starts to blink. Any help would be aweosme! Thanks in advance!

that is the wrong temp swich .. the car will overheat ... the right temp switch is like 87/92 deg celsius

ah that makes sense! That is kind of weird though, I remember asking people if the 109 is better, since a lower temp switch would make the fan be on all the time. Ill give it a try though thanks for the info!
