Default '89 90Q turning rear caliper in

Which way do I turn to get the caliper piston back in? I went to Advance auto and picked up one of those $10 tools but im having trouble with fitment to the piston. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

I'm not sure about your car but on my 1990 90 quattro both cylinders (driver and passenger) rear turn clockwise. How far out is the piston? I had to take mine off completely due to the piston out to its full range. Also if you open the bleeder it should be easier to turn back in. It would'nt hurt to take off the tension spring on the emergency break. If you take that spring off though watch that you don't move the lever it was attached to. It will move the piston back out and you will have that much more to put back in.
