87 5000 S Quattro and rallycross
I want to go do my first rallycross with my 5000 S Quattro. all maintnance is up to date and the car is running extremely well but what else should I worry about before I go out and tear up the snow in my born for the snow rally car?

first put out in 400hp range from your motor, then rollcage. then stiff springs and drop by like half an inch. oh and dont forget clutch and fuelcell too.
oh for safety get 5+ point belt.
that should set you back about 3 grand total if you do it your self, if moderate mecha and have enough time, like every weekend then like I would do it. oh you need a garage, couse else there be problems around.

A rally cross is on a closed air field. its is a fairaly slow speed thing nothing over 50 or so. it is just like a autocross but in the snow and mud. really no need for all the safety stuff. But I was just wondering if I should put more protection under th car in forms of skid plates or the like. the car ony has 140,000 miles on it and other than a few electrical items that have needed attention it has been ead reliableand a joy to own. I just want to be able toenjoy it in other ways like the rallycross and so on.
