i have the opportunity to buy an 85 quattro.. it needs and exhast and a key. does anyone know how i can go abouts getting a key made for the car?

 

there are 2 ways of doing it. you can get them from the dealer they will most likely want to see either the door handle/tumbler in there or at least get the code from it. or get the code from the ignition switch...or you can buy a new ignition switch and it should come with a key...down side of that. the key doesn't work in the door. but they can do it...maybe with the vin number too i dont quite remember it was a while ago i looked in to that. is it an 85 UR-Quatto? if so do it!!
