one bar is 14.6or9 lbs pressure (atmospheric pressure at sea level) 2 bars puts it about 30lbs (better than any Ford with 20w 50 cold and in the middle of winter!)

not to worry!

oh yea, you comparing crap to god. Ford to Audi. dude ford sucks. well if you compare family car to family/sport car.
and ford uses solid lifters while we use hydralics. well some time ago they used hydralics but well, it sucked so they changed. it gaved them extra 250-500RPM after the redline.

I have not seen or heard of any Fords made within the last 20 years that use solid lifters, not even in the Escort models.

The ford probe, initialy came out with hydrolics, but then changed becouse they failed very often. the 1.8L and 2.0L and 2.5L. also used on mazda, same engines. this is like 1998. you may not know or see, becouse they use same heads but instead the lifter to be solind they put a cup like lifter and a washer on top. without taking it apart you wont even suspect it to be solid. and becouse it like they tune it in half life so like 80K miles.

kakarot,

You are full of s..t! The 2.0 I-4 Zetec and 2.5L V6 used on the Ford Contour, Mercury Mystique and the Mazda 626 models had hydraulic lifters. Even the Escorts had hydraulic lifters. If you still don't believe me I will scan and post pictures from my OEM Contour/Mystique manual.

well, tell that to my other car, which is Mazda 626 LX I4 auto 00'. I opend the lifter cover and they were solids. I did my research. I need to do my lifter there, its stupid, my car sounds like a diesel. the ford probe is the exact same. they switched at like 1997 to solids from hydralics. The ford even earlier.
and by your words
had hydraulic lifters
they had. I thaught of tuning my self but only stealer has shims [:@] and it cost like 300 to do, then I thought to shift to hydralics, and each cost $35 and multiply by 16 I say to keep my deasel as it is.

Actually the mazda is my fathers, but I drive Audi. And my dad actually gelous of audi 90 95'. and well he wants to change to 4 rings also.

and another bad part of mazda and ford tranny, you wont even guess how many times the tranny boiled the oil in it. I'm trying to convince my dad to change oils, but he doesn't want for some reason.
