1995 cabriolet starting problem
Hi there to all. I have a 1995 Cabriolet experiencing something weird. After starting the car up this morning to drop off the kids, the hazzards would come on when I would signal left or right. It gets weirder. I dropped them off and when I got back in the car .... It would not start. I got a jump thinking it was the battery, but to no avail. I dosconnected the battery for about a minute reconnected it and she started up. I got home turned off the ignition and again she would not start. Pulled the battery again and she started again. I shut of the again and she restarted without a problem. Is this a computer problem and if so which one and where is it located?
Thanks to all

RE: 1995 cabriolet starting problem
I have similar problem, the hazard will just turn on but does not blink, I did not expirienced the starting problem but when I traiced the problem it ended up in central locking pump.
The problem is that when it gets wet it shortens out in some parts and then kabum problems evrywhere. If I would left it wet it would create starting problem. like engine would not crank, lights stay on, start to signal from teh trunk.
its all in one unit, the central locking pump.
Audi made a mistake in it, All in One principle is bad for cars!!!!! period. how many problems arise from that kind of desine...... EXPENSIVE to replace Cheap to build.

RE: 1995 cabriolet starting problem
its easy to get expensive to replace. even though its easy to access the unit in the car. in the trunk or under back seat.
go to www.maximumautoparts.com thats were I buy my stuff for my audi.
if you have any mechanical or electrical expertise. take the unit out open it and clean it from any thing, mostly oxidaxation and maybe mosture.
and that might fix the problem.
just look if you even have one.
