I need/want/should change the transmission fluid on my car, because 1.) It's having trouble getting out of 1st gear (I have to put the car in N, turn it off, start it again, and then drop it into D and then usually it fixes it; if not, rinse and repeat.) and 2.) I don't know if it's ever been changed. So I read the manual and it has some strange **** unique picky number of the fluid it calls out for. Obviously, the local Kragen didn't have any. Must I use this hard-to-find fluid or can I use some other more common name-brand (Dextron III, etc...) ? Also, what about the "final drive" stuff? Is it important to change it separately from the regular transmission fluid or does it get done when you drain the main transmission fluid? Thanks!
