I am new to the forum and have a question -- Would anyone know the value of a 1983 Audi Coupe with 6,000 miles in showroom condition? I have an opportunity to purchase and although it is not a Quattro I felt it was a unique opportunity but have absolutely no idea of what it is worth. I would appreciate any advice that anyone could give.

Hard to say? It's 23 years old no matter how you slice it. 83 Coupe wasn't all that spectacular or desirable among collectors, that title goes to the so called limited production 1987.5 Coupe commemorative edition and any of the Quattro Coupe. Any car that old with that few miles could have a lot of dry rot and possible fuel delivery problems if it wasn't properly stored in a climate controlled environment. As for my price it would be $3K but I think you need to do more research.

 

I have actually seen 2 coupes (non quattro) with about 77k miles on them go for $7,500 and the owner wouldn't budge on the price.

 

If it's mint 1987.5 commemorative edition than I would possibly say “maybe” to paying $6K or more.
