This blinker situation is one of the most frustrating things for me in the US. While most German manufacturers at least make their rear blinkers easily distinguished from the stop lights, a lot of American cars are made so it's really hard to distinguish them, so when they blink it's bright red, and when they are off (between blinks), it's back to not so bright red, which is either the rear light or the stop. It makes it really hard to see with your peripheral vision, and it takes you really long time to see that someone has a turn signal on.

Another issue, which is kind of ironic, is the front blinkers for some reason in the US they are all orange/yellow. I don't mean the blink color, but just when they're not blinking, they either glow yellow, or the glass is yellow. All German cars have white blinkers in Europe, and only when they blink they are orange/yellow. I just don't get the point... how come there's this weird regulation for over safety for the front, and lack of safety for the back of the car. It makes no sense. Those orange blinkers in the front make the car really ugly. As long as they blink yellow/orange, they're fine being clear when they're off, so it blends with the rest of the headlight.

Sorry for ranting, I needed to blow off some steam for this infuriating thing.
I'll post some pictures of my old car and current car for comparison, if some of you haven't seen cars from the other shore.

In the next episode: stupid labels on sun visors and everywhere in the car, and pointless passenger airbag light on the dash.

Sorry, I was being facetious.

Yeah, if I get new ones though, I might as well go with the cool B8-style LED ones.
Also, I'm not very happy with this website. Got the HID fog lights conversion kit from them and it came with no instructions, nothing labeled as far as positive or negative anywhere and chinese bulbs (don't believe they are OEM). The only way to install them was a try and error to figure out positive and negative. Ended up figuring it out, but now one works for about 30-40 secs, and turns off, the other one doesn't work at all, only flashes once. I might've burned it, or the ballast but... how else was I supposed to do it, with nothing labeled. they are still in a box in the garage.

If you guys have any suggestions, please share.

Thumbs up World Impex

World Impex has them, both LED and Non-LED. Just ordered the non-LED's, ran about 150 each-- and they sell only OEM. worldimpex.com - great bunch of guys, easy to work with. I live close to them, so I usually run up to their store to save on shipping.
