Voice Dialling Issue
I have a bizarra one I think. I bought a B8 1.T and from the moment I had it, I had the voice dialling feature, even though I do not have Sat Nav installed. At the time I didn't know that it was unusual to have this option.
About 6 months after I bought the car, the whole phone system crashed and I took the car back to the dealer to have it rectified. Apparently they replaced the system with a like system - ha!
Following that, the voice dialling option disappeared. It used to have a bell sound and "Say a command" was said, now nothing happens. I am very disappointed with this, for the simple fact that I used it all the time.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Audi were very rude about the whole thing, saying that it was impossible for me to have this system in the car and "am I sure I'm not confusing my car with someone else's?" How rude! I had it, I lost it, no-one knows why and if anyone could shed some light on how this could have happened, I would be most grateful.

What model do you have? The voice dialing (Bluetooth) has nothing to do with the nav system, and is standard on the Prem Plus and Prestige pkgs and optional on the Premium (no LEDs) model.
When you say Audi was "rude" are you referring to the dealer (did you take it back to them?) or Audi corporate?

I've got a B8 1.8T, bought last year. In the 'first' system I had (assuming I now have a different system), the MMI took the numbers out of the phone book for all the both the phones both myself and my wife had, and since the change, that has changed and it finds it hard to get the numbers out of my blackberry, even though it's the same phone - very strange!
And the voice button on the right side of the steering wheel no longer works, even though it worked with all the phone options prior to the dealer replacing the system. Very frustrating, weird and, above all, disappointing.
All Audi have said is that what I had (voice dialling etc) I should never have had, that I'm mistaken I had it and that I can't and won't have it in the future.
I'm in Australia and the whole thing has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
