Default Tire Size Based On Rim Dimensions

Hey Friends,

How do you tell what the tire size will be based on the rim specifications?

These are rims specs: 20" x 8.5", 5x112mm Bolt Pattern, +44 Offset, 66.56mm Hub

But how do you tell what tire this will fit on?

Thanks for your help guys.

All depends upon you, some will say you can stretch a 215 on there and others will say run 255's.

Questions that will be asked.
What is your stock tire size?
Are you lowered?
How much do you want to spend?

For a 20" rim the best size to go with to keep your speedometer and odometer accurate is 245/30 R20. That said, why on earth would you want to put those monstrosities on your Audi? Not only will they negatively affect both ride and handling, with only 2.9" of sidewall height you'll blow out a tire and/or bend a rim if you so much as run over a small rock in the road.

Shipo - The reason I am going to 20" is because the rims that I am interested in Vossens they only come in 20" and to me they look sick on the car... Do you have any suggestions on other wheels? I like the concave look of it...

Be forewarned, if you put 20's on with a stock suspension setup, your car will look somewhat like a 4x4. If you go that big I'd lower it for sure.

To give you an idea, this is a pic on only 19's

Vossen's will like great on your car, I would guess you're going with the CV3's? I think for your ride you will definately need to drop it, suggest Eibach lowering springs and at least a 245 tire size. I have 255 on my stock 19's. I would also suggest wheel and tire protection, those low profile tires are more prone to road hazzards and will cost you at least $250 per tire to replace, depending on the tire you choose.
