Tiptronic shift problems 2nd to 3rd -Design Issue
I have a 2009 A4 3.2L Quatro w/tiptronic and audi drive select. I am currently at 10,000 miles and have had 2 serious problems that are apparently design defects in the transmission. The problems came with the car. First, when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd at moderate (normal) acceleration, the shift sometimes delays and the engine is allowed to rev up +500 RPM before the next gear engages. It only happens 1/3 of the time but is very noticeable. Second, when attempting full acceleration from a low speed condition at about 1-2 seconds into it, the car rapidly decelerates as if someone turned of the ignition for a second or 2. This has happened to me about 6 times now. Audi said this was a transmission problem and replaced everything related to it in the car due to safety issues. $10,000 later the car still has both problems. The 2.0L quatro I drove as a rental had the first problem as well. Audi service is now telling me this problem is a glitch without a solution as of yet and all cars have it. I have seen 3 transmissions - same problems. Soooooo... I would like to hear from others with faulty transmissions to see if there is a solution in the works. In any event, if these problems are not corrected this car is going back and I will look elsewhere. Cheers all

Please let me know if that solves the problem. I was just wondering where you found this tip from. Anyway, good luck. I will be waiting to hear from you. It would be wonderful to have a fix that is so simple
