SDHC card for 2011 w/Concert
I searched this forum and it seems the newer A4s can handle more storage and the HC card. I picked up a SanDisk SDHC 16Gb which was formatted (out of the box) with Fat32. I then copied folders with both MP3 and M4a music files to the card. Roughly 8 folders each with 10-16 tracks. So far the A4 media player recognizes all the folders and seems to recognize and play the tracks in either format. I did a random sample and a few tracks came up defective, so I will delete/recopy them later. I am driving to FL next week and will spin through every track to give the card a good test. Then I will add another 10-12 files up to the full 16Gb. I'll post the results in a couple weeks.
While I miss my A6 6-CD player, having all this music on a tiny chip is awesome. No CDs to bounce around the cab or get lost and dirty. I'm an old fart and even though my daughter offered me her old iPod, I don't want to bother with another device and it is easier to shove in a chip with a few hundred of my favorite tunes.
