Please can anyone help!!!!

I bought a B9 chassis A4 Avant and decided against having a factory fitted tow bar at £650. The reason is that I have always been able to get retro fit ones at a fraction of the cost.

I am now being told by Audi that this is not posible and for one to be fitted it can only be done as an after package and by Audi. Also the cost will be £1500 + VAT. I think this is robbery and illegal. Surely the brochure/sales team should have stated that only a factory fitted version can be fitted as the cheapest option. I am furious, as if I had been told this at the start I would have re-thought the vehicle i chose.

I was also told that the cooling fan would need to be upgraded also, but have since been told that the B9 chassis has this mod.

Has anyone else come across thgis problem?
