Mixed Feelings about my new 2009 A4
Hi all,
I picked up my new B8 A4 (2.0T-premium plus triptronic) last week from the dealer. My prior car was a 2007 B7 A4 manual which I absolutely loved. I would have kept it but my lease was up. I have a few issues with my new B8. The car does not feel as solid as my old B7. I don't know if this has something to do with the changed weight distribution of the car or something else. Another issue is handling. It does not feel as tied down to the road as the B7. Again this may be a weight distribution issue. I do know that the B8 has aluminium suspension components which makes it lighter, but there seems to be a bit more body sway when cornering. Don't get me wrong I love the car (esp. the new design and LEDs) but I miss the solid tied down to the road feeling that I experienced in my old B7. But hey, I only have 200 miles on my B8 so maybe I will get used to the change. Does anyone else have similar feelings?
Thanks!

sport suspension?
Actually I thought the corners are well stiff and tight. It just rolls with the cornering without much sway. Now I haven't driven a B7 but I do have the sport suspension on my B8 Avant which does improve the handling.

Well, I bet that the sport suspension makes quite a difference. Perhaps I should look into getting stiffer shocks. I am also thinking about a wheel and tire upgrade to make the car look sportier. Has anyone priced out S5 wheels and tires? I really like the scissor type rims.
