UK Spec Aruba Blue 1.8TFSI S Line 160bhp. 6 speed Manual. A Picture is elsewhere in this forum.
18 Inch 5 spoke wheels
LED Running lights, S Line badges on wings, 30mm lowered, chrome tipped exhaust, piano black inlays, black headlining, black stitching on half leather S Line emobossed seats and black stitching on steering wheel. De badged of engine capacity and model type, not trying to hide anything, I just prefer the car not to have numbers and badges all over the boot.
Build quality is the usual Audi standard despite some B7 owners and press tests suggesting that the new B8 is not up to the usual standards. In my view its much better than my 2006 1 Series BMW that was replaced by the A4. Plastics around the stereo feel a bit too cheap but thats only compared to the rest of the better quality materials in the car. Other gripe is the Xenon light washer, this is used every 5th time of the window washer but all it does is squirt water on the lights and down the wings and bonnet. It does not actually clean them very well, perhaps I need stronger washer fluid?
I find that the car is too heavy at the front end and going into corners in a FWD drive car can be a bit scary. This has resulted in me not charging around in the car, but driving in a more relaxed manner. I have been using 97 and 99 RON Super unleaded from Shell and find that the performance of the car has improved together with the MPG. 0-60 is reached in under the 8.9 as suggsted by Audi but I rarely push the car.
Steering is sharp but as explained it feels a bit to nose heavy at times. No rear parking sensors either on the UK spec as standard
A bit more leg space in the back than the B7. It has been mistaken for a A6 by a few people due to its size but looks more like the A5 from the front. Constant looks and stares from older type A4 drivers!
Seats are not very supportive on the sides, my BMW had inflating side bolster supports and I miss them in the Audi. They are sport type seats with larger leather bolsters but would be nice to squeeze them around my torso a bit more.
Huge boot/trunk. Standard "Concert" stereo is really good with 10 speakers, amp in the boot and the sub but wished I paid for the B&O setup as this sounds more expensive than it really is.
Paint finish is amazing, supplied with no swirl marks or scratch on the clear coat and the pearl paint changes from a dark to almost sprint blue finish when sealed and waxed correctly.
Looked at the 3er and C Class Sport/AMG pack before choosing this car. If only Audi would make a rear wheel drive version............ Obviously would always like a Quattro or larger engine but this is a company paid for car and the tax bills on the higher spec cars simply are not worth it for the 5000 miles I do a year. Also annoyed that Audi take some really small things away from this car, such as having to pay £300 for the Interior ligh package just to get a light in the glove box, more money for the storage pack just to get a cup holder in the rear and a locking glove box. I mean, come on.....£27K for a car and no light in the glovebox!? thats a 25p bulb Im missing.

Thanks for the input MKC. I just ordered my 2009 A4 2.0T quattro. Brillaint black with the prestige package , Navigation and full S-LINE package interior/exterior. plan on tinting out the windows(within reason) and putting in the chip when i get it. pretty excited, I have owned BMW's in the past and I am hoping this car wont dissapoint. I test drove the sline model and the firmer suspension really made a big difference. the car held on to the road like it was on rails, i think i scared the salesman. the only problem is that I have to wait till the end of march for it to come in because i ordered the 6 speed manual. Heres the pic of a red sline that i took for a test drive.

hey naemcivic. yea the dealer told me late march early april also, sucks to have to wait. The dealer i have worked with has a performance shop in the dealership, they are setting me up with some chip which is 850 dollars and will increase the horsepower by 41 and the torque by 60. There are also a few other upgrades that can get you to around a extra 100 hp. honestly, i dont know much about it but from what they told me it is still covered under the warranty. Congrats on your new ride

naemcivic, not sure if you ordered the car yet but heres what i paid on monday for my new ride. 2009 A4 2.oT brillaint black 6 speed manual, navigation, prestige package and full S-line package (interior/exterior) after much haggling in my state of New York and neighboring New Jersey I was able to sign a deal for $41,888. about $500 under invoice. I had to order it on monday because the rates were all changing at the close of business on that day.
