Installation of Warning Triangle?
I have a warning triangle that I'd like to install in my A4 but after doing some research it appears that installation requires removing the trunk deck liner. Is this the case? In my BMW 335 all I had to do was remove a couple of plastic blanks and install the brackets into some pre-drilled and tapped locations in the trunk lid. I see that ECS Tuning sells a kit with the triangle and a mounting bracket or you can purchase the bracket alone. I don't want to remove the trunk liner and was wondering if there is another way to mount the bracket by simply screwing the bolts into the liner and securing the bracket to whatever is under the liner. Does anyone know if this is feasible?

yes you have to remove the trunk liner and put a some holes in it too. the holes are in the trunk lid but not the liner.
i don't think simple drilling into the liner will be strong enough to hold the triangle, honestly i wouldn't chance it and just do it properly.
on a side note, why not just stick the triangle in the spare tire well?
