Dealer taking me for a ride?
Hey all! first off, I'm new here. I drive a 2011 Audi A4 that I've had for 2 years now.
I just took my 2011 Audi A4 in for service a few months ago and it cost me about $1K - $800 for the 35K maintenance, and $200 for the brake fluid flush as recommended on Audi's official maintenance schedule:

The question is this: I turned down two other items the maintenance tech said was due: Power steering fluid flush and cooling system flush. I think he quoted them as $200 each. I don't see either of these on the official schedule - are they legit? If yes, any advice on how much I should be willing to pay for them?
Thanks in advance.

The maintenance schedule is pretty conservative, so I would not do any work earlier than necessary. I only did my 2.7T P/S fluid once because the unit was making noise (no change) at about 200k miles. Otherwise it would still be original. The coolant was changed when the timing belt was replaced. The 2.0T has a timing chain, so no scheduled work here.
I bought my 2011 A4 with almost 100k miles and it's my intent to change the coolant, brake fluid, f/r differential, and tranny fluid when it goes in for the next oil change. I used to do diffy and tranny about every 60k miles on the 2.7T - all are still running fine at 231k.
I have been fortunate to have access to indie shops at about 60-75% the cost at a dealer.

Thanks for the reply!
Sounds like it's unnecessary, I'll hold off for the time being. The car's been running just fine aside from the fact that I have to top off the oil every now and then (though I've heard that's normal).
