Changing Halogen Headlight Bulbs

Changing Halogen Headlight Bulbs
Has anyone changed from the stock bulbs to something like Silverstar Ultras, etc? I bought a pair and was planning to put them in but it seems like a major pain in the a$$ to change them.
The drivers side is blocked by the powersteering pump but it seems like it might be possible to reach in...if you have small hands. Of course German cars use the H7 bulbs which require a little dexteriy with the stainless steel springs/clips. The passenger side is another story. It appears you will have to pull the entire air box out to get to the light. Anyhow, since it is freakin freezing in Atlanta, I think I may wait for some warmer weather to spend two hours under the hood to change a couple headlights.
Hopefully one of you guys can point out something I am missing that may make this easier???

Actually the A4 is my girlfriends car and she traded in a 2001 A4 that had HID. The only thing she regrets is not springing for a car with HID lighting. Anyhow, I know the Silverstars put out a bit more light and the K temp is a little higher and closer to HID so I figured what the heck...oh well. I will give it a try in a week or so and let you guys know how it turns out.
