Aftermarket Mud flaps
I have a 2.0T A4 black and I'm considering mud flaps -
Anyone have them? Do they make a difference in keeping the sides clean with
this model?
Also, has anyone tried or installed mud flaps on their own? I think they are available through audi for 60 bucks a pair - is it easy to install?
Thanks!

Materials Used
I know it's a change of subject, but what did you use and how did you do it to clean your car? I'm still trying to figure out what works the best?
I found swirl marks on the hood of the car after I got it home that actually came out with swirlX nicely, I'm debating which type of wax or finish is best to use

I put the fronts on a while back and it is quite easy...no need to take the wheels off either. The rears looked a little "truck like" in size for me.

As far as waxing goes...you may laugh, but I use the Wax As You Dry from Turtle Wax and it works great. I have always dried with an artificial chamois and it actually makes drying faster and leaves a great shine.

Installation
Thanks Poppy for the link!
Did you have to drill any holes for the screws? or are the holes already tapped? I'm debating installing them myself if it's a fairily straight forward job....When you had the rear flaps in hand did it look like you had to remove the rear wheels to install them?
You mentioned that the rears were big, are they the same as posted on this thread earlier? They don't look too big? But perhaps on a black car they don't stand out as much...
At least they didn't have any curb "feelers" on them!
Thanks in advance!

No drilling but from what I recall, you do use self tapping screws to go through the fiber wheel liner. It was really one of the easier installs I have done (no cursing, sweating or blood involved...)
It seems all four could be installed with the wheels on, but the rears may be a bit tougher as you can't use a power driver on the rears. If you have a short screw driver or ratchet driver, you should be ok...it may be easier to take the wheel off though.
I think that particular pic doesn't quite show the "full effect" of the size of the rears. They really seem to hang down pretty far...not ridiculously so, but more than I liked...and yes, a white car really makes them stand out...
