'accessory' position
When doing something as simple as adjusting the fog lights, it was necessary to keep the engine running.
We have the 'key goes in the dash' setup; is there any way to power up various accessories without starting the engine?
Thnx,
Moon

Not a lot of traffic here, eh?
Okay, I'll answer my own question, in case anyone else is perplexed.
Just put the 'key that's not a key' in its home in the dash, but DON'T step on the brake. It will power up everything but the engine.

Yep, just stick the key in and push into the dash as if you were starting the car...without your foot on the brake. It powers up all the electronics...you do have to push it in again to turn everything off and to allow the release of the key.
