Default 2010 audi b8 s4 apr ecu

Hi i was thinking about getting an apr stage one ecu upgrade and was wondering if anyone has done this without an exhaust upgrade? i was thinking about keeping the stock exhaust but i wasn't sure if it would be too restrictive? and what is the drivability and fuel economy like? The car is really quick stock, but more is always better.

The car will be totally fine with the stock exhaust. The APR stageI really does make a difference. I suggest you do it if you want a little more power. And as far as MPG I can't tell you city because I have such a lead foot it wouldn't be accurate but I have gotten 33mph highway. Oh and another thing about the tune is it removes the limiter. My car switched into 5th at 130mph, I can set my cruise at 186mph( my car can hit that speed but if I had the power, and the tires I could).

I just bought a 2011 black on black, sport pkg, premium plus, 6 speed and I was thinking the first mod would be APR stage 1 ecu flash. My question is about the warranty. Does the APR ecu flash void the factory warranty. I know the APR comes with a warranty but what about the parts related to the ecu i.e. powertrain?

It will not void the warranty. If something was to break the dealership would have to prove that what you did to the car caused the malfunction (ex. You tune the car and the exhaust falls off your covered) but if you don't want to risk it you can pay to include the ability to switch between the program and stock and you can also pay for the lock-out. This way when you go to the dealer you turn the ECU to stock and lock it and it will be impossible for the dealer to find Even if they hook the car up to the computer.
