2009 Audi A4 Premium Plus Brakes Help
I have spent some time looking around and trying to figure out what brakes (pads and rotors) to get for my car. I bough it used and it has about 55K miles on it and last time i had it in for an oil change they said my brakes were at about 20% left. I don't need anything overly fancy since I try no to hot flog it too much and it is an every day driver. The only time I really use the sport mode is when i have to commute for meeting so once or twice a month. trying to find something quite with low dust.... the dust drives me nuts. So far i was leaning towards EBC red stuff paired with EBC ultimate slotted but that running $600 just in parts. Not looking for hand holding just a little guidance since this is my first Euro car, previous was a Lancer Raliart.
Thanks in advance

Personally I would get one of these brands for the pads:
EBC
HAWK
Akebono
Make sure you select the low dust or ceramic version. For the rotors if you don't go racing or visits tracks frequently just use some Zimmerman / OEM equivalent. They are dirt chip compared to the "high end" brand names and will do very well for what you need them.

It's heresy, but if the existing rotors measure out they can be turned and will do just fine. Although there is nothing wrong with installing new rotors. I put on low dust pads (< $100 for both sets) but the brake work and turning was about $350. The last time I did rotors and pads (both Centrix) all around for my A6, it was about a grand including labor.

With Hawk and EBC it's important that you do a proper break-in procedure. If you don't follow those instructions you will end up with warped rotors and improper bedded rotors and issues. The Akebono do not require the break-in and have worked beautifully for my wife's a3 s-line.
I've had EBC Red stuff before on my A6 (4.2 v8) and they had very nice stopping power once the bed-in was completed. However up to the first 1000 miles I had to deal with Squeaking, which stopped shortly after the bed-in was completed.
