Default yay gasoline!!

i just wanted to nerd out for a min and share that my local gas station (fastrac) just got ethanol free 91 octane :-D
im excited to see what really happens after awhile but i already got 31.5 mpg on the 20 min return trip, and that was only half a tank of ethanol free fuel mixed with 10% ethanol 91 octane

anyone else got some good experiences with ethanol free fuels?

Sooooo jelly man! I can't get away from the ethanol here anywhere! It doesn't matter what pump I go to, everyone has the blend and it really bothers me...

Ethanol is such a waste of time and resources. Perhaps if 1/3 of US corn production didn't go to making ethanol, food prices could come down a bit. And when it costs just as much and in some cases more to produce a gallon of ethanol vs a gallon of gasoline, what is the freaking point? Sorry, I hate ethanol.

I use lucas ethanol treatment every time I fill up. It's kind of like stabil, but just helps condition the fuel, even though our cars aren't sitting for weeks/months at a time. It also has fuel injector cleaner in it. I throw 1-2 ounces in at each fill up.

yea, when this e85 stuff starting coming out, i didnt really see the point. flexfuel cars didnt get better gas mileage, only a few stations carried it, it was only a few cents cheaper at the pump, and it wasnt cost effective to produce.

i know its been awhile but i just started school again so im driving more regularly and have some great news!
i got 33mpg tonight! obviously it was optimal conditions and wont happen every time but hey ill take it. a 40min trip, 66*f outside, no ac, sunroof open with back windows cracked, mostly highway with cruise control at the speed limit whenever possible. this is the best mpg iv gotten and im loving it, especially since i added a big dual bandpass box back in jan. i was able to get this high because i got about 3/4 of a tank of 91 non-ethanol fuel and then did a "throttle body reset" and cleared all the stats.
