What a difference a new Diverter Valve makes
Went in with one issue, still unresolved, and found out there was another, now fixed problem. Took the car to the dealer to deal with a clunking, seeming to be related to the front brakes when cold, and ended up finding out the car had no turbo boost. I'd thought the car was acting doggy for a long while, and running rough at certain RPM's when accelerating. Turns out the Diverter Valve had failed. Now that it's fixed, it's like I'm driving a different car. There's power down low, and smoother running, as well as turbo scream in gears other than 1st and 2nd. The interesting thing is, that the car threw a code about the diverter valve malfunction, but when the tech took it off to look at it, there was no damage to the diaphram. At least they replaced it anyway, and road tested it and the boost came back.

Hey good for you! I plan on Audi taking a look at my DV and revisit the PCV when I go in for services next month. I notice sometimes there is a funny noise when the car drives maybe 4-5 miles (still cold) and I am stopped some where. Like a slipping belt or breather problem. I rev the motor but the sound does not rev with the engine. Maybe a DV leak or PCV? Once the car is warm no sound at all. My power seems to be fine, but you never know. When my PCV was replaced at 24tmls it was like driving a new car. I also want Audi to check the (in)famous Cam follower. I have them check it at every service, they always say it is fine. This time I want them to replace it. We will see...
