RE: Turbo Lag
ya i have heard that it makes a huge difference and i believe you that its totally worth it, but if i buy one im going to need at least the lock option and i will probably want another one as well which now sets me at a minimum of just under $700 which is getting a little too much for me right now unfortunately

RE: Turbo Lag
I get a whole lot less lag when I'm easy on the throttle for the first second or so. I've driven a chipped 2.0 and found the lag is still there and even more apparent because the change from no boost to all boost is more drastic. Easing up the rpm helped even more with the chipped ride.

RE: Turbo Lag
Yeah, when I mash it down from a start there's a horrible dead spot for a second or so.(almost the same as if I stalled itfor a second)After driving my ar with the 2.7t for a month, I drove the 2.0 and tried to hammer down a couple of times to make a quick left turn and the lag was so bad that I almost didn't get out of the way of oncoming traffic.
At least there isn't much lag after that initial start up. Previous turbos that I've owned lagged any time I tried to push the car...nothing worse than trying to pass or get on the highway when you gotta wait for the turbos.
