Trade in Time - 3.0L B6 for 2.0T B7
#11
In addition I've discovered that it has auto-wipers...
But I don't think I have HIDs anymore... I thought all Audis had them...?
The drive is totally different and the turbo is a lot peakier. Even with less power it feels quicker, more torquey... not sure what the torque figures are. However, I have practically zero engine breaking with this engine and gearbox. My 3.0L B6 was almost as good as a manual for engine braking and I rarely needed to use my brakes. I once did my 43 mile commute only touching my brakes twice through the whole journey...!!! No chance of that with this car...

Well to answer your torque question the 3.0i had 221 lb ft torque at 3,200 rpm, while your B7 2.0T has 207lb ft torque at 1,800rpm all the way to 5000rpms. That is why it feels stronger than the 3.0L as the V6 peaks at 3200rpms and starts to fall off, the 2.0T does not.
I do have a question though; did you look at your car before you purchased it? You seem to be surprised by what it has and doesn’t have after you bought it. I would think if the various things you mentioned were missing; you would have shopped around and picked up one that had everything you wanted. There are B7's around that have everything your B6 had, and lots, lots more!
Just curious.

The lesson here is... even if you're fairly certain, always check and never assume...
