I'm looking into gettting a nice stereo for my A4. Probably double din with a screen, have a couple in mind.

Question is... What install kit would I need?

Could I put in a double din deck in there? Anyone try this one?

If not that one, anyone have any luck with other install kits?

 

shouldn't be any reason you cant fit a double din, as long as you get the correct install kit with it.

i personally like the double din looks much cleaner.

 

that is the exact one you need, also dont forget you will need a wireing harness, and antenna adapter, make sure the antenna adapter is an amplified one.. or you will not get reception. also DO NOT hook up the blue wires on the wireing harness, because they are in the location of the K-line and if there is power applied to the K-line if someone connects to your OBDII port it could mess up the reader, also if you go to the dealership for anything you will need to put the stock radio back in because it will not read the computer right if the stock radio is not in.

 

Interesting... Do you think a car audio place (or best buy) could install it sufficiently? I don't do things like this.
