so while i was checking my exhaust, i noticed my snub nose engine mount was starting to wear out and crack around the knuckle. i ordered the ECS brand mount when i ordered the exhaust clamp. the clamp was wrong but at least the mount works.
the parts came off the engine/front end relatively easy, the engine was the hardest since its a 6mm hex/allen wrench bolt. i didnt have a ratchet bit that would fit but i made due with an allen wrench and other tools. i used WD40 to help get off the old mount and slide the new one on.
anyway, i think it made a good difference. i had always noticed that my car was fairly loud and rough when idling at lights and what not. now its a lil more tame and doesnt vibrate as much. i took the car for a quick and spirited test drive and i think it shifts a lil smoother too. when in manual mode the shifts could be jarring but now they are softer and smoother. i know half of this is prolly placebo effect but i think it makes a difference and is worth the price ($35). obviously it would help a lot more on a car with a more damaged mount but i didnt wanna wait any longer
