Default power ratio on A4 quattro

Anyone know what the power split ratio is on the quattro? I was thinking it was 40/60 (F/R). Is this correct???

Power ratio should be 50/50 during normal driving. Depending on which torsen is in the car the power split can change putting more of the power to the rear when coming out of a corner using power.

The dealership told me 40/60. In the Winter I slide sometimes when I hit the corner.

Can you mess with the power ratio? Is it true that if you have more power going to the rear the car will actually accelerate quicker?

No because the amount of power being put down to the ground has not changed, just the % of the split. You still have the same driveline loss no matter what.

All A4's up to 2009 have a 50/50 default split with the Torsen center diff. It changes depending on traction needs. The S4's starting in 2006 went with a default of 40/60. Now as of 2009 all A4's have that default split.
