Default OEM bi-xenons issue

So I have an issues with one of my OEM lights.

I have the adaptive light system on my car. The Driver side light well only do the left right check, it wont do the up/down. The passenger side does both perfectly. How do I fix this?

How do you perform this check? I just bought my B7 about 2 weeks ago and I'm reading up as much as possible, but this is a new one to me. Can this check be done without VAG-COM?

Hmmmm... well, either I don't have them, or BOTH my motors are shot. I just bought the car 2 weeks ago so I have tons to learn about A4's in general, and my car in particular.

So, is there a way I can confirm whether I do or do not have the adaptive headlights? I do have the Bi-Xenon lights from the factory. I really appreciate the help.

pop the back cover open that is for the hid's. you well see a motor that operates the lights.

Thanks! I actually just paid attention to the light angle while driving the other night and they do indeed swing left or right. Pretty cool! (right up until it breaks and I have to pay for parts! )
