Post Lease buyout question

Hi,
I have a 2007 Audi A4 3.2L Quattro 6 speed manual car. The lease on the car is ending and I want to buy it. Do dealers provide any kind of incentive discount over the residual amount that is there on the lease ? Or do I have to just pay the Residual amount + tax to buy the car ?
I called Audi financial and they just quoted the residual amount. Any other options that I have ?

I tried to negotiate the terms on a leased car that I was returning and they would not budge from the residual price. I thought the price was too high and could easily find cars for thousands less. I haggled pretty hard and still they did not budge.
Always worth trying to negotiate with the dealer, the worst they can do is say no.

I also bought mine after the 1 year lease, the dealer
wouldn't budge and had to buy for the residual.

That obnoxious sales guy kept saying Audi was doing me
a favour by giving for the residual ... whatever. Suspect
it is the same most places, but good luck :-)

the dealer won't budge on the lease buyout because they're hoping you return the car. dealerships make massive money on returned lease cars. my lease is up in july and i'm just glad they'll offer a pretty good finance rate. if anything that finance rate could maybe be negotiated.
