Question Ipod hook up - Other non Audi Options? Feedback?

It appears the general consensus is that a direct connect hook up option with the ability to display track names etc. is not going to happen. I was hoping someone out there might have some personal experience with some of the other non-Audi Ipod adapters such as DICE electronics, GROM, etc. I'm hoping one of the aftermarket adapters may actually display track, artist, etc... I have the satellite/in dash CD changer Audi Symphony head unit. Any input would be appreciated. Ill I have found so far in this forum are Audi brand write-ups.

I have the Dice. It works well. I use it all the time. Not to hard to install if you have a little know how. My only complaint is that sometimes I have to start the Ipod manually. At $200 it costs a little more than other things out there but I would rather have my steering wheel controls and the extra input (it has ipod+aux) any day.

I have the Audi iPod hookup that was just installed 3 mos ago, but I took out recently when I put a new headunit in. Anyone want it? Make me an offer.

It works great, charges the iPod. Some downsides are that it only lets you access the first 5 playlists on your iPod and then it makes it's own 6th playlist of a random shuffle of songs. No direct song access and no integration with the heads up display, ie. track info etc.

What head unit do you have? Does it have Sat, and the in dash 6 disc?
