Intro - Help?!

PM'd you 02, but I went ahead and completed the job doing everything but the crankshaft seal. Everything went smoothly until I tried to pop the hood after a test drive.

Damn hood latch cable came loose. Now to try and figure out how to get the cable back on.

Just wanted to close this thread up. After another couple of hours, I took it to my local country store body shop. The guy had the hood popped within 30 minutes of me dropping it off. Best $40 I've spent. He told me he got a screw driver in there to pop the latch and that it was at the very top.

I also ran my car for about 30 minutes, while it was hot, in my garage, and I didn't find a leak. So, hopefully it continues to seal. Everything else is working as it's supposed to.

Thanks for all of the help and pointers.

Edit: I wanted to add a little advice about the drain **** for the coolant. I know a lot of people have problems with it, and feel it is too delicate. Well I found it you rotate it 180 degrees counter clock wise and pull it out, the coolant will drain. Then push it in and rotate 180 clockwise to close.

This was my first time ever working on an Audi, and everything apart from not being able to get the crank bolt and losing my hood cable went well.
