Default How often do you guys change the oil filter?

I am just curious how often the owners of a 2008 Audi 2.0T change their oil filter?

And how long does it take for the tiers sensor sign to go away after putting some air in the tiers and the spare one too.

Oil filter should be done with every oil change, especially on a turbo motor. Failing to do so will cause a sludge build up that will be a huge headache. Filters are cheap and easy, save yourself the headache and don't cut that corner.

As for the tpms, it should register instantly. If it hasn't, you might have a bad sensor.

tire pressure do not register instantly or automatically..... you have to store them after setting the pressure by pressing the button on the side of the wiper stalk and scrolling thru the menu in the DID display

^ah. Ignore me then. I was under the impression that it stored it automatically from the factory and would register with the computer once the proper level was returned. Thanks for clarifying that

My oil sensor just came up after 1881 miles of changing it, is that normal?

For the DID scroll to what exactly?

Was it the low oil level sensor that triggered? That's about the right number of miles for that to go off after an oil change.

Yeah it was the low oil sensor, so if it's normal can I drive it for couple of days before getting the oil/filter change without having any damage done to the motor?

The oil level sensor is telling you that oil needs to be added, and the oil needs to be addad ASAP. It does not mean the oil neds to be changed.

^this. Especially on the 2.0t. This motor eats oil about 1 quart every 1500-2000 miles because it feeds the bearings on the turbo and thus a lot of oil gets into the intake piping/manifold. Top it off asap, not having enough in there not only risks damage to the motor, but could also seize the turbo and that would not be fun for you. If you can't get it topped off for a couple days, don't drive it. If you absolutely cannot avoid driving it, don't drive hard, and don't drive far. 5 miles granny shifting and staying out of boost should be tolerable. More than that you're playing with fire.
