So I'm about 3 weeks outside my factory warranty and now my front right headlight flickers when I start the car up after it has sat for a long time. If I switch the lights off and then back on they seem fine.

My service guy thought - just on the phone, they haven't looked at it yet - that the bulb is likely going.

I thought I remembered a service notice about the lights somewhere back in Feb '09. Does anyone else remember that? My left headlight did go out back in Feb and they replaced that one - I thought the service notice said to replace both if one started to act up...no? I can't remember.

Anyways, how long should these factory lights last? To replace one is $300. Put that with the new tire, rotate, oil etc for $240 that I just did at my 45k service last week plus the $485 front brakes (apparently you can't rotate the rotars and they HAVE to be replaced?!) I'm spending over $1000 within a month of the car going out of warranty (granted only the bulb would have been covered, tires and break pads aren't)....

Sigh, thoughts?
