Default HFC high flow cats

hey everyone thanks for reply if u did
here is my question if i swap to a HFC will it be illegal on the street?cause i dont want to get pull over by cops or anything..u know wut i mean..my whole plan is to put a HFC and a custom piping than at last will be a borla exhaust..please advise thanks again

I think it's technically illegal, because you're not allowed to modify emissions parts of your vehicle (at least in CA). However, there's no way for the cops to really know it's an aftermarket HFC, and it should also pass emissions, so you should be fine having it.

you aren;t physically adjust the cat you are just replacing it with another one....i kinda wonder if that holds up with the DMV

so you can smoke weed in CA but you cant modify your cars emissions systems?

If they write you a ticket just send them an IOU

its a reletively easy job if its a bolt on, take the negative off your battery, unplug the O2 sensor and then take out the old cat and put the new bolt on HFC on bolts, sensor, start


if you are just getting the HFC and not the downpipe take it to any muffler shop and that u feel comfortable with and they will weld it on
