help with ashtray

Default help with ashtray

So i thought that id take a chance and remove the ashtray... didnt go well. Im trying to put it back in however it just wont go back enough. Im afraid that ill break it.. any suggestions?

I just removed mine. I can't get mine all the way back in, too. From reading other forums, it looks like we'll need to remove the radio and then the climate control system. We'll need one of those tools to remove the radio. Might be able to make one

Your right. I spoke to the service guy at my dealership and he said he can do it for free since its not a big job, or i can buy the keys from him. You can also get them online for about $18 for 4.

Here's a link to a spec.dock install, which also involves removal of the ashtray and what not. It includes pictures and instructions for removal of the radio head unit and the climate controls. Be careful not to disconnect your factory radio unless you know the code!
