Hello everyone, new user here with an interesting problem.
I have a 2007 a4 2.0T manual in quattro
Recently when I am in 2nd,3rd, or 4th gear (mostly in 3rd of 4th) when I let go of the accelerator (clutch still engaged) i hear a slight noise i can only describe as a circular rubbing. It is relatively high/medium pitch and kind of resembles a disapating oscillation which only lasts a second or less. I figured I would throw this out there for the collective wisdom of the forums to get a better idea since I wont have time to take it to the dealer for atleast a week. Thank you for any help in advance!

While we're talking about weird sounds, when I open my driver's door to get in the car, there is a short 1-2 second electronic grinding sound. It sounds like the power seat moving, but it's not. Anyone know what that is? I keep opening the door and looking really quickly to see if I can see something changing, but I can't. Doesn't bother me--just curious.

That is why I usually open one of the other doors if I have to get into the car to get something. The manual states that you should not open the drivers door fequently without starting the car, it can damage the low pressure pump. I am always having to get into my car to get things.
