Sorry bud but both of my cars are FWD.

The A4 is quite a bit heavier and has a slush box CVT tranny. Stock for stock the A4 was devistated time and time again racing my wife (who can drive well BTW).

I Have since chipped my GTI and that just makes it harder to drive the A4 since it is really at a loss of power at this point.

Maybe for Christmas she will get a chip as she chose diamonds this year and I am on a budjet.

 

You are correct, trying to compare a Golf GTI DSG to a A4 2.0T CVT is like night and day. I have seen test results with a Golf V GTI vs an Audi A4 6speed manual tranny FWD (both 200hp), the golf is about 0.4 seconds quicker from 0-100kmh but loses in top end (Golf 235kmh A4 241kmh).

Usually no one would compare a Golf GTI performance to an A4 sedan. You should see how your Golf V compares to an A3 3 door version (they have those here as well as the Sportback version) that would be a better comparison I think.

 

Both of mine are 4 door due to having a 3 year old. Crawling into the back is a bitch.
