Freak Windshield Wipers

Freak Windshield Wipers
So.... I was driving to work this a.m. when my winshield wipers decided to go on by themselves. It was slightly foggy, not raining, and I'm pretty sure my 2006 A4 is not equipped with rain sensors. It was really strange. They only went up for one revolution before going back down and kind of stuttered in the middle because the windshield was dry. I also find it coincidental because my power window motor just went out a few days ago. Any ideas? They have been working fine before this and I have never had a problem.

It's not possible you hit the wiper stalk while driving? Obviously if you hit it down it will do one revolution.
If it only did it this once I would personally write it off and hope it doesn't happen again. I've heard of freak wiring issues, but it seems like a stretch that the two could be crossed...you never know though.
